Catherine Arlene Metevia, 86, of Cherokee Village, died Sept. 13, 2004, at Eastern Ozarks Regional Health System in Cherokee Village.
Born June 9, 1918, in Detroit she was the daughter of Frederick Binder and Mabel Blaisdell Binder.
She worked as a model for JL Hudson Company. She was a member of the Cherokee Village United Methodist Church. She belonged to the Christian Women's Club, Cherokee Village Mission Group and many other church groups.
Survivor include her husband, Sylvester, Metevia of the home; three sons -- Ernest and Ann Morenz of Ontario, Canada, Norman and Lynda Metevia of Melbourne, and Robert and Diane Metevia of Cement City, Mich.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
The funeral was Sept. 16 at Cherokee Village United Methodist Church with burial following in the Oaklawn Cemetery at Highland. The Rev. Ron Durham and the Rev. Waymond Hollis officiated.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cherokee Village United Methodist Church Missions Group.
