4-wheeler stolen from parsonage

Thursday, November 4, 2004

Staff Writer

A 4-wheeler was stolen last week from the carport of the parsonage of Mammoth Spring First Baptist Church. A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved in the crime.

Pastor Bruce Stone said he and some family members were riding the family 4-wheelers until approximately 9 p.m. Oct. 26. He said they went to bed at 11 p.m. and when he woke up early the next morning one of the three 4-wheelers parked on the carport was gone. "The 4-wheeler would had to have been stolen between midnight and daylight Oct. 27," Stone said.

He said the 4-Wheeler stolen was the most expensive of the three parked at the Stone residence. It is a bright yellow 2004 Honda 400 Rancher AT. Stone said it was also the only one of the three that could be pushed out of gear and rolled without a key.

A $1,000 reward is being offered. A report has been filed with the Fulton Country Sheriffs Office. Stone asks anyone who might have any information involving the 4-wheeler to call the sheriff's office at 895-2601 or him at 625-7287. Mammoth Spring First Baptist Church Parsonage and Family Recreation Area are located 2 miles west of Mammoth Spring on Highway 9.
