Lawrence Dale Green, son of the late Vernon H. Green and Lillian Aileen Hubbell Green was born Sept. 2, 1940, in Oregon County, Mo., and died Dec. 4, 2003, in Nixa, Mo., at the age of 63.

He was united in marriage March 28, 1964, in Rolla, Mo., to June Bellflower. He was a civil engineer, owning his own consulting firm. He was employed by Frisco Burlington Northern Railroad as an engineer for 14 years. He was a member of the American Society of Professional Engineers and the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers.

He was saved at the age of four and was of the Pentecostal faith. He attended James River Assembly of God.

Survivors include his wife, June, of the home in Nixa, Mo.; one daughter, Cheri Winger and husband, Curtis of Hollister, Mo.; one grandson, Eric of Nixa, Mo.; one brother, Walter Green and wife, Glenna, of Salem, Ark.; one sister, Vernice Braswell and husband, Joe, of Georgetown, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers -- James, Gerald and Joseph Green.

Services were Dec. 8 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Mo., with the Revs. Don Tabor and Duane Goforth officiating. Burial was in Huddleston Cemetery at Alton, Mo., with arrangements under the direction of Carter Funeral Home Inc. of Thayer.

Pallbearers were his nephews.
