Ollie Iolene Haney, 70, daughter of the late Clifford McHugh and Florence Denton McHugh, was born Dec. 10, 1932, in Mammoth Spring, and died Dec. 1, 2003, in West Plains. She was married Oct. 17, 1949, in Salem, Ark., to Claudie Edward Haney. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, caregiver and homemaker and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Claudia Ann Madden of Mammoth Spring; three grandchildren -- Alisha Smith-son and husband, Mark, Ashley Forester and husband, Travis and Andrew Turner; one great-grandson, Triston Smithson; one step great-grandson, Dalton Forester; one sister, Mary Rogers and husband Cleo of Mammoth Spring; two step-sisters -- Mary Busch and husband, John of Mammoth Spring, and Daisy Dodge of Salem, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Michael Edward Haney; two brothers -- Gerald and Gary McHugh and two step-sisters -- Opal Grooms and Imogene Brown.
Services were Dec. 3 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel with Ted Clarke officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Mammoth Spring with arrangements by Carter Funeral Home Inc. of Thayer.
Pallbearers were Danny Haney, David McHugh, Travis Forester, Kenny Haney, Dennis Rogers and Mark Smithson.
