Jack Ray Prine of Salem was born Oct. 15, 1920, in Bogachita, Miss. He died Oct. 27, 2004, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem at the age of 84.

He was united in marriage to Mary Louise White in 1954 in Fort Worth, Texas. He served his country in the Army during World War II. He retired after 18 years of service.

He was a small appliance repairman and for many years was employed by Salem City Park. He was a member of Salem Church of Christ.

Surivivors include his stepdaughter, Judy (Harry) Cleveland of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren -- Harry (Deana) Cleveland Jr. of Azle, Texas, Pamela, David and Brian Cleveland, all of Arlington, and Michael Cleveland of Azle.

He was preceded in death by his wife, brother and parents.

Graveside services were held Oct. 30 at Custer-Herron Cemetery at Gepp under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
