Collins, Owens slate nuptials

Former Mammoth Spring resident Amanda Gail Collins will be united in marriage to Carroll Dean Owens Jr., also a former Mammoth Spring resident, at 2 p.m. Aug. 10 at College Church of Christ in Searcy. A reception will follow the ceremony.

Carroll, the son of Carroll Owens Sr. of Hector and Linda Owens of Searcy, lived in Mammoth Spring only a few years during his childhood. He moved to Searcy with his parents at age 8. In 1995 he graduated from Searcy High School. He resides in Cabot where he owns Clem's Custom Cabinets.

Amanda, the daughter of the late Jack Collins and the late Linda Collins, graduated from Mammoth Spring High School in 1996. From there she went to Arkansas State University in Jonesboro where she received a bachelor's degree in social work in 2000. In 2001 she graduated with a master's degree in social work and became employed as a mental health therapist at Professional Counseling Associates in Cabot.

The newlyweds will set sail for Cozumel, Mexico, Aug. 12. Upon their return, they will reside in Cabot.
