Bobby Dean Weaver, 48, of Salem was sentenced to two years in a state correctional facility March 30 by Independence County Circuit Court Judge John Dan Kemp. Kemp, the former Fulton County Circuit Court judge, is helping Fulton County clear its docket.

Weaver was convicted of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, a class C felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use, a class C felony.

The sentence was a negotiated deal between Weaver and 16th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Don McSpadden and will run concurrently with a previous sentenced imposed on Weaver.

Fulton County Sheriff Lloyd Martz said Weaver was transported to the state correctional facility in Pine Bluff.
