The president of the Sonic Corporation paid a visit to the Mammoth Spring Sonic recently to congratulate Sonic manager Josh Atkisson for maintaining an employee retention rate of 75 percent, one of the highest in the Sonic system. Pattye Moore met with Atkisson to learn more about his management techniques for employee retention. Moore said the drive-in has one of the top employee retention rates among the 2,200 drive-ins that competed in the 2003 Dr. Pepper Sonic Games. This is an annual program designed to improve employee retention, motivation and recognition. The games teach important life skills and crew members learn about teamwork goal setting and achievements.
