MAMMOTH SPRING -- Members of the Mammoth Spring School Board reviewed the progress on the Agriculture Building at the school during the Dec. 8 meeting.
Superintendent Ron Taylor told school board members the new building had been dried-in and was in the process of having heat and air installed and a new metal roof.
Taylor said the project should be complete in six weeks. The project consists of a new vo--ag building, new classroom and remodeling of the shop building.
Taylor presented a report on current improvements under way at the school including a new door at the back of the lunchroom.
Two new school buses have been purchased for the school district. Taylor said they are International buses with Ward bodies.
School board members heard a report on the state food service program, and based on a review of the Mammoth Spring School food program the school was in line with all state mandates.
Taylor said the school board will hold a Christmas dinner Dec. 18 at the school for all school employees and their families. The dinner will be catered by M&J Catering of Thayer.
