Dixie Jennings Gray, 100, daughter of the late George Wiley Jennings and Mary Matney Jennings, was born Dec. 15, 1903, in Calico Rock, Ark. She died Dec. 15, 2003, in Calico Rock. She married Jim Farmer Sept. 4, 1937. On June 6, 1945, she married Oran Gray.
During her working years, she worked at the Family Shoe and Dry Goods store in Calico Rock. She retired after 20 years of employment. She was a member of Calico Rock Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law -- Joann Farmer Montgomery and husband, Burnell, of Elizabeth; a sister, Ollie Owens of Salem; a step-grandson -- Mark and and wife, Carol Montgomery; three step-great-grandchildren: John Mark, Kristin, and Micah Montgomery; and a daughter-in-law: Mary Jo Middlebrooks of Jackson, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oran Gray; a son, Ernie Gray; a sister, Emma Michaels; and four brothers, Homer, Bill, Paschal and Corbett Jennings.
The funeral was Dec. 18 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Calico Rock with Wayne Wood officiating. Burial was at Roselawn Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Calico Rock.
Pallbearers were Bruce Clinkingbeard, Paul Clinking-beard, Jay Fountain, Howard Jeffery, Charles Jones and David Wilson.
