The Spring River Soccer League is gearing up for the fall season, its seventh year in a row. The league will be independent and will play under the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO).
Registration day for the 2007 fall season is scheduled for Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. in Loberg Park in Hardy.
The league hopes to have the new soccer goals currently being assembled in the park ready to go for registration day. There will be drinks, hotdogs and soccer scrimmages during the registration event.
Returning league players are asked to wear their uniforms and all players should bring a copy of their birth certificate.
Players age 4 to 18 are eligible to play in the league.
Teams will be divided by age group and ability.
Practices will also be held at Loberg Park and games are scheduled to be played in West Plains over the course of four Saturdays this fall. After a break for the winter months, the league will get back into action in the spring. The registration fee covers both the fall and spring seasons.
