Flint knapping workshop slated at Mammoth park

A flint knapping workshop for beginners will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 26 at Mammoth Spring State Park pavilion.

The event is presented by Jack Waling and Roy England and is an opportunity to learn the basics of an ancient art used throughout history.

Participants can learn the basic skills of flint knapping and create their own arrowhead point at the workshop. The workshop is designed for ages 14 and up.

A $20 registration fee is required. Participants will receive a beginner's knapping tool kit. Register by Oct. 23 by calling Mammoth Spring State Park at 870-625-7364.
