Ozarka College LPN graduates were honored at a recognition ceremony in the John E. Miller Education Complex Dec. 12.
Students completing their studies in licensed practical nursing were Margaret Anderson of Mammoth Spring; Ron Andrews of Mammoth Spring; Amber Bishop of Melbourne; Tina Burrow of Calico Rock; Crystal Campbell of Melbourne; Chasity Gosser of Calico Rock; Lynn Harris of Melbourne; Crystal Goodson of Sturkie; Cheryl Horness of Calico Rock; Jessica Jones of Calico Rock; Christie Masson of Melbourne; Chris McClung of Mammoth Spring; Joyce Medlock of Cherokee Village; Rodger W. Pohler of Hardy; Christine Pringle of Horseshoe Bend; Randee Pruitt of Brockwell; Eilene Roberts of Cherokee Village; Teresa Rollins of Melbourne; Misty Scrivner of Sidney; Lisa Taylor of Union; Robin VanGinhoven of Mammoth Spring; and Alicia Walker of Evening Shade.
Ozarka's Vice President for Academic Affairs Linda Morgan and LPN Chairperson Ruby Johnson welcomed guests to begin the ceremony. An emotional slide presentation was shown giving an account of the accomplishments made by the graduates. Ozarka nursing instructors -- Ruby Johnson, RN, Carol Miller, RN, Tracy McLaughlin, RN, Anise Moore, RN, and Mary Simmons, LPN -- presented the new LPNs with caps, pins and lamps.
Family and friends joined the new nurses at a reception following the ceremony. Ozarka's culinary arts department provided refreshments for the reception.
