Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative Inc. system sustained heavy damage, with 20 poles completely destroyed, as a result of the storm that hit the Willow Springs area on Saturday night.
The first calls were received around 10:30 p.m. by the cooperative's dispatcher.
Cooperative employees immediately responded to the outages and worked through the night and all day Sunday to restore power to more than 700 members that lost power due to the severe storm. The last confirmed outage was restored at approximately 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening.
The cooperative also had line outages in the Mountain View and Winona areas as a result of this storm system.
Howell-Oregon crews spent Monday cleaning up and making minor repairs to the system in the area affected by the storm.
