Doris R. Montgomery Harris, 79, of Cherokee Village, Ark., died Jan. 9, 2005, in Naples, Fla.
She was the daughter of Charles Bell and Zelma Pearl Cramer Bell. She worked many years as a secretary for Standard Oil Company in Whiting, Ind., before retiring. She was a member of the Ruby Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and Peace Lutheran Church in Cherokee Village.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Sean Desmond of Naples, Fla.; a granddaughter, Sandra P. Thorley of Naples, Fla.; and a sister, Maude Montgomery of Robinson, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two husbands - Earnest A. Montgomery in 1979 and Herman Harris in 1999.
The funeral was Jan. 18, at Peace Lutheran Church in Cherokee Village with Brian Pummill officiating. Burial followed in Oaklawn Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland, Ark.
