Frances Charlene Campbell, 70, of Batesville died Jan. 15, 2005, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
She was born May 2, 1934, near Harrisburg, Ark. was the daughter of Charlie and Myrtle Wiedeman Ballard. She was a homemaker, a foster granny for the Cave City Public School, a member of Sidney Baptist Church, where she was a dedicated Sunday School Teacher for the Ester Women's Class, and a member of the adult choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Claude W. "Bill" Campbell; a sister, Polly Ballard; and a niece, Diana Carter.
Survivors include a son, Charlie W. "Billy" Campbell of Tulsa, Okla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Alana and Teddy Green of Batesville; four grandchildren - Daniel and Joshua Green, both of Batesville, Alexandria Campbell and Hilary Tabios both of Tulsa, Okla.; three sisters and brother -in-laws- Erma and Shannon Gallagher of Dell, Shirley and George Amirault of Byhalia, Miss., and Louise and Lowell Herron of Southhaven, Miss.; two nephews, and three nieces - Jeff Gallagher, Michael Amirault, Vicky Roberts, Michelle Amirault and Sherrill Kotowicz; four great nephews; and two great-nieces.
The funeral was Jan. 18, at Sidney Baptist Church in Sidney with Alvin Wiles officiating. Burial followed in Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Joe Stidman, Charles Treat, Jim Smith, Donald Phillips, Roger Hooper and Arch Westmoreland.
Honorary Pallbearers were Bill Westmoreland, Phillip Johnson, Roy George, Wayne Fore, Wendell Turner, Steven Green and Loren Trewyn.
