THAYER -- David (Beau) Beville, an employee with the city of Thayer recently successfully completed one of the most comprehensive training programs in the world for power line personnel.
The program Beville completed is the Merchant Job Training and Safety Program (MJTS) and has been administered to line personal in 38 states. The program is also under contract with the National Rural Electric Coop Association.
A MJTS representative said Beville and the city of Thayer should be proud of his accomplishment. Each utility has an acting training coordinator assisting their trainees by administering closed book testing. The coordinators manage their own people throughout the training process from rules set by MJTS and the statewide association.
