AGFC to host fishing derby

MAMMOTH SPRING -- The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) will hold a fishing derby for youngsters 12 years old and younger at the Jim Hinkle/Spring River State Fish Hatchery June 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The hatchery is located south of Mammoth Spring at the end of State Highway 342. The youngsters will be fishing at the Hatchery's stocked ponds for rainbow trout. Anglers must bring their own bait. Derby rules are: free fishing for kids 12 years old and under; limit of three fish per person; only one rod and reel per child; adults cannot fish; adult supervision is required.
