Robert Thomas Dixon IV was born Sept. 21, 1994 in Little Rock, to Jennifer Dianne (Cates) Dixon and Robert Thomas Dixon III. Robert lived in three different states in his short life, finally settling in Middle Tennessee in his third year.In 1999, age the age of five, Robert enrolled in Watertown Elementary School in Watertown, Tenn., where he attended kindergarten and first grade. Robert attended second and part of the third grade at Chadwell Elementary school in Madison, Tenn. On Nov. 25, 2002, Robert moved with his family to Bellevue and began attending Westmeade Elemen-tary School. His summers were spent with family in Missouri.Robert departed this life on Dec. 18, 2002, in Nashville, Tenn. He was eight years old.Survivors include his parents, Jennifer Dianne Cates of Nashville and R. Tom Dixon III of Booneville, Mo.; his step-father, David Schaefer; one sister, Morgan Dianne Dixon; two grandparents, Vivian Busenbarrick of West Plains, Mo., and Max E. Cates Sr. of Sturkie, Ark.; two step-grandparents, Fred and Maxine Schaefer of Nashville; step-aunt Dora Levin, with husband, Joshua and son, Natan of Durham, N.C.; great-grandfather and step-great-grandmother, Roy and Bess Engleman of Caulfield, Mo; three uncles, Max E. Cates, Jr of Columbia, Mo., Edward Cates and wife, Cresta of San Jose, Calif., and Dan Busenbarrick and wife, Angie of Springfield, Mo.; and many great-aunts and great-uncles, cousins and friends.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Robert's memory to: Kids to the Country, 51 The Farm, Summertown, TN 38483; or Pets for Life Campaign, HSUS c/o Kindred Spirits, Dept.
