Lewis (Ted) Edward Wil-liams, 68, of Franklin died Feb. 13, 2002, in Batesville.

Born April 19, 1933 in Ada, Okla., he was the son of Lenord Frank and Febra Davis Williams.

He married Mary Luceile Evans July 10, 1975, at Las Vegas. He spent his working years as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a concrete contractor. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Sonoma, Calif.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters -- Connie, Carrol, Linda and Freda, all of California; two stepdaughters -- Beverly Cosby of Springdale, and Helen Weaver of Texarkana, Texas; a stepson, Larry Hall of Morriston, Fla.; a brother, Preston Williams of Upper Lake, Calif.; a great-niece, Allison Shaw of Franklin; a great-nephew, Scott Bowser of Franklin; five step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.The funeral was Feb. 16 at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem with John Schuhknecht officiating. Burial followed in Wiles Cemetery in Ash Flat.

Pallbearers were Robert Weaver, James Weaver, Heath Lesley, Steve Evans, Wesley Hall and Paul Scott.

Arrangements were under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem.
