Amelia Ann Seat, 94, of Nelsonville, passed away Oct. 8, 2002, at Jonesboro. She was born June 5, 1908, at Smyrna, Tenn., to Doc and Florence Bush Swarner. She was a homemaker and was of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors are three sons, Oliver Seat of Desha, and Kenneth Seat and Homer Seat both of Nelsonville; three daughters, Kathryn McCrackin of Pocahontas, Dorothy Gray of Jonesboro, and Betty Mueller of San Lorenzo, Calif.; one sister, Mary Swarner of Nashville, Tenn.; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; several neices and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel David Seat; two sons, James Seat and Ernest Seat; two brothers; and four grandchildren.
Services were Oct. 11 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Donald Seat officiating. Burial was in the Evening Shade Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Dale Seat, Trent Seat, Chris Seat, Duncan Seat, Robert Seat and Steve Land.
Honorary pallbearers were Junior Jones and Stanley Jones.
