Lonnis Noel Pingleton, 78, son of the late Albert Pingleton and Bessie Cox Pingleton was born Nov. 22, 1926, in Thayer and died Dec. 15, 2004, in Thayer. He was united in marriage Sept. 6, 1947, in Salem, to Ila Langle. He worked for Tindle Feed in Thayer, until he retired at the age of 70. He was a member of the United Pentecost Church in Thayer and was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed.
Survivors are his wife, Ila of the home in Thayer; a son, Jackie Hooper and wife, Linda of Moscow, Tenn.; two grandchildren -- Michelle Bradshaw and husband, Paul, of West Plains and Michael Hooper of Springfield, Mo.; -- a great-grandson, Paul Bradshaw Jr. of West Plains; and three sisters -- Davie Sifford and husband, Ralph, of Alton, Callie Chronister and husband, Granvil of Alton and Nellie Miner and husband, Joe of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael Pingleton; a brother, Howard Pingleton; and a sister, Dasie Hooper.
The funeral was, Dec. 17 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, burial was in Davis Cemetery, Thayer, with arrangements under the direction of Carter Funderal Home, Inc. of Thayer, Mo.
