Ruby Lee Johnson, 85, of Pilot Grove, Mo. died Feb. 26, 2002 at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, Mo. She was born Sept. 17, 1916 in Wirth, Ark., the daughter of Edward Logan and Elizabeth Eveler Court-wright. She was married to Jessie Johnson on Dec. 12, 1936 in Pocahontas, Ark. He preceded her in death Jan. 20, 1991.She was a member of the General Baptist Church at Mammoth Spring. She had worked in the kitchen and laundry at a nursing home earlier. She liked to sew, work in flowers and watch the birds.Survivors include four sons, Edward Johnson and Jessie Johnson both of Pilot Grove, Mo.; Cleveland Johnson of Fayette, Mo.; and Raymond Johnson of Moscow Mills, Mo.; and one daughter, Glenda Beaman of Licking, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters; one brother, and one daughter.Funeral services were Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002 at 3 p.m at the Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Pilot Grove, Mo. with Rev. Wayne Colflesh officiating. Graveside service and burial was Saturday, March 2, 2002 at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Thayer, Mo.
