Dorothy Ellis Moser, 83, daughter of the late James and Lillian Franks Ellis was born Aug. 28, 1918 at Viola, Ark. She died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mtn. Home.She was married to Ray Moser at Mitchell Feb. 17, 1936 and was a devoted wife to her husband for 59 years. She was a hairdresser in Izard County for many years and a member of the Salem First Baptist Church.Survivors include one sister, Lorene Parvin of Ash Flat; four sisters-in-law, Ruth Hudgens of Kansas City, Mo., Pearl Ellis, Faye Ellis, and Irene Ellis all of California; 14 nieces, 18 nephews, many great-nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; her parents; two sisters, Annice Watts and Neva Cotter; five brothers, Gilbert, Thurman, Paul, Eugene, and Randell Ellis; five nephews, Gordon Cotter, Loyd Ellis, Earl Harris, Jr. W. E. Moser, McKinley Hudgens and two nieces, Colenne Ellis and Theda Harkleroad.Services were Saturday, March 2, 2002 at 10 a.m. at the Cox Blevins Funeral Home in Salem, with burial in the Mt. Calm Cemetery at Viola, Ark.Arrangements were under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
