Clarice Elwanda Girtman Dickey, 83, of Cave City, Ak., died Feb. 20, 2005, at the Cave City Nursing Home.
She was born July 30, 1921, at Hilltop, Ark., to W.O. "Orville" and Sarah Evelyn (Brewer) Girtman.
She was a homemaker, a Christian and a member of the Cave City Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Marcella Carpenter of Cave City; a grandson, Joey Carpenter of Cave City; two granddaughters -- Kim Carpenter and Lisa Carpenter, both of Cave City; five great-grandchildren -- Blake Polston of Conway, Nick Pierson, Dalton Carpenter, Candra Carpenter and Amanda Tuggle all of Cave City; one sister, Bernice Marlin of Cave City; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curzy Lawson Dickey; one brother, O.C. Girtman; and one sister, Wana Gene Price.
The funeral service was held Feb. 22 at Cave City Church of Christ with Dean Fugett officiating.
Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery east of Cave City with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Gary Farmer, Charlie Brewer, Marc Walling, Max Duram, Jim Watson and Jeral Hastings.
Honorary pallbearers were Clyde Cossey, Lloyd Cossey, Harry Howard, Ernest Stitcher, Les Kleider and T.A. Brewer.
