Kenneth K. Bettis, 56, of Highland, Ark., died Feb.18, 2005, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born Aug. 23, 1948, in Williford, Ark., he was the son of Clyde Kenneth Bettis and Gladys Marie Hawkins Bettis.
He was married to Joyce Honeycutt on Dec. 19, 1967, in Williford.
He was an employee of the Sharp County Road Department, and attended Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce of the home; two daughters and their husbands -- Tonya and Gary McClintock of Conway, and Tina and Mike Tindall of Wirth; a brother, Leonard Bettis of Ozark Acres; and five grandchildren -- Tosha and Ashley Honey, Kendall and Austin Felton, and Michael Tindall.
He was preceded in death by his parents -- Clyde and Gladys Bettis; his stepmother, Betty Bettis; and a son, Kenneth Ray Bettis.
The funeral was Feb. 21 at Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel in Highland with the Rev. O.C. Wright officiating. Burial followed in Baker Cemetery near Ozark Acres. Arrangements were by Tri-County Funeral Home of Hardy.
Pallbearers were Bryan Bettis, Dan Melbourne, Tim Corp, Cleo Hackney, Tommy Corp, and Kenny Love.
Honorary pallbearers were Tom Taylor and all of the Sharp County Road Department crew.
