Loral Cleman Stephens, 82, of Oklahoma City, Okla, died Dec. 31, 2001 at the Norman Veterans Center. He was born Jan. 21, 1919 in Elizabeth, Ark. the son of the late George J. Stephens and Esta (Cantrell) Stephens. He married Edna C. Fielden, his wife of 56 years, April 16, 1945. He served in the South Pacific during World War II with the U. S. Army. During his period of service, he once spent Christmas Day on Christmas Island, South of Indonesia, in the Indian Ocean. He lived in Oklahoma City for 45 years.Survivors include his wife; three children, Richard (Linda) Stephens of Oklahoma City, Barbara (Dick) Green of Manhat-tan, Kan., and Janis (Richard) Truckowski of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildern; two brothers, Ewell of Othello, Wash., and Ray of Franklin; three sisters, Lois Daughtery of Phoenix, Ariz., Opal Barnes of Quartz Hill, Calif., and Qualline Beh-rens of Lubbock, Texas; He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Curtis, Bryce, and George L., and one sister, Marie. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Sat., Jan. 5, 2002 at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, Okla.
