Tincie Mixon Hayden, 83, of Evening Shade, Ark., formerly of Hammond, La., died Nov. 9 at Batesville, Ark.

Born Dec. 5, 1919, at Boliver, La., she was the daughter of Leslie and Lula Crawford Mixon. She was a retired seamstress for Dillard's Department Store in Hammond, La., and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Hammond.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Jean Hayden Mitchell of Evening Shade; three sisters -- Norma M. Varnado of Kentwood, la., Pearl Mixon of Baton Rouge, La., and Agnes M. Mitchell of Tallulah, La.; two grandchildren -- Brenda Mitchell Forbes of Prairieville, La., and Johnny T. Mitchell of West Monroe, La.; three great-grandchildren -- Jennifer Forbes of Prairieville, La., Kaitlyn Mitchell and Ashley Brumfiled, both of West Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Aubrey Hayden; and a brother, Hilton Mixon.

A graveside service was Nov. 12 at Amite Cemetery located at Amite City, La., with Lonnie Watson officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
