Couple arrested again on drug charges

Wednesday, March 20, 2002

A Glencoe couple was arrested again on drug charges March 14, just one month after illegal drugs, including a large quantity of suspected "ice," a street name for an extremely pure form of methamphetamine, and black tar heroin were seized from their residence.
Jonathan Lee Hall, 20, was arrested by Fulton County Deputy David Estes at the Dairy Queen in Salem on an outstanding warrant and is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, a class Y felony; and delivery of a controlled substance, marijuana, a class C felony. Estes said Hall was driving on suspended driver's license.
The second arrest stemmed from an incident where Hall and Sharla Kay French, 20, were allegedly observed selling drugs that field tested positive for methamphetamine, about one-half gram, and marijuana.
French turned herself in to authorities at the Fulton County Sheriff's Office where she paid her bond of $20,000. She is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, marijuana, a class C felony.
Hall and French appeared in court March 19 and were granted a continuance on their cases until their pre-trial April 16. The trial is June 3.
