Jimmy Gene Crotts was born June 11, 194, at Viola,
Ark. He died Aug. 12, 2003, at 1:15 p.m. in Taysen, Ariz.
Jimmy graduated from Viola High School in 1959. He
served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Ranger
during the Cuban Missile Crisis. After his discharge he
attended welding school and was employed at Ford
Motor Company near Cleveland, Ohio, for 20 years. He
retired to Taysen, where he was a member of First
Southern Baptist Church. He was married Nov. 29,
Survivors are his wife, Pauline Lizanich Crotts, of
Taysen; three sisters -- Dorotha Mae Roberts of Viola,
Della Louise Mingee of Gamaleil, Ark., and Drucilla
Tiliakos of Longwood, Fla.; and two brothers -- George
Roy Crotts of Bakersfield, Mo. and Edward Lloyd Crotts
of Washington, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover
Cleveland Crotts and Mary Melinda Spurlock Crotts; a
sister, Kathleen Crotts; and two brothers -- Sidney
Lewis and an infant brother.
A memorial service will be Aug. 24 at 2 p.m. at
Enterprise Baptist Churchnear Viola with Harold Cotter
officiating. All friends and family are invited to attend.
The family requests that donations be made to
Enterprise Baptist Church for assistance to the needy
in lieu of flowers.
