Oregon County does not make January fatality list

TROOP G -- Captain B.E Chadwick, commanding officer with troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, has released accident and fatality totals for the month of January. During the month Chadwick reports there were five fatalities as a result of traffic accidents in the nine-county Troop G area. He said officers investigated a total of 92 accidents that resulted in 54 injuries.

In Oregon County there were 10 accidents investigated by Troop G officers and nine people were injured as a result of those accidents.

Howell County again led the counties in Troop G reporting 22 accidents, three fatalities and 13 injuries.

Other accident totals around the county are as follows: Douglas -- eight accidents, one fatality, eight injuries; Ozark -- eight accidents, nine injuries; Reynolds -- eight accidents, four injuries; Shannon -- six injuries, five fatalities; Texas -- 12 accidents and eight injuries; Wright -- six accidents, one injury.

In all there were 92 accidents in Troop G in January, five fatalities and 54 people injured.
