Walnut festival set for October

Thursday, September 11, 2003

Crafters, painters, organizations, concessionaires and any others with something to sell or share within a family atmosphere are welcome to participate in the Ozark Black and Gold Walnut Festival. The festival, sponsored by the Alton Chamber of Commerce, is slated for Oct. 4 on and around the court square.

"Booth space is still available," said volunteer Mike Hopsicker. "So far we have a great variety: informative, fun, food, functional and whimsical."

Rental fee for a single both space, 7-foot by 20-foot, is $15; double, 14-foot by 20-foot, is $25.

Electricity is available for an additional $10. Contact Hopsicker at (417) 778-6248 days, or 778-7223 evenings.

He said the deadline for reserving a space at the October festival is Sept. 30.
