Sharp, King to marry

Connie Watkins-Lively, Michael Sharp, and Buddy Watkins of Harrison have announced the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Jodie Lynn Sharp, to Jeremy Blayne King, son of Kenny and Janet King of Mammoth Spring.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of C.J. and Wanda Sims and M.D. and Johnnie Sharp of Harrison.

The prospective groom is the grandson of J.W. and Mabel June King and the late Tom and Opal Hicks.

The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Valley Springs High School and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Central Arkansas in 2001. She is employed with FedEx Trade Networks in Springfield.

The prospective groom is a 1994 graduate of Thayer High School and attended college at the University of Missouri. He is employed with Alltel in Branson.

The ceremony will be at 2 p.m. Aug. 31 at Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs. After a honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Branson.

Friends and family members are invited to attend a reception to be held at the Riverbend Restaurant in Mammoth Spring from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Sept. 28.
