Florence M. Chapman, 103 of Davenport, Iowa, formerly of Cherokee Village, Ark., died Thursday, March 21, 2002, in Davenport. She was born April 24, 1898, in Traer, Iowa, the daughter of Peter and Ina (Stark) McMillan. She was married to Rev. Donald Paul Chapman on June 30, 1926, in Traer, Iowa.. He preceded her in death Dec. 29, 1987. She was a teacher for many years in Blue Island, Ill, Ft. Madison, Iowa, and DAvenport, Iowa. She retired in 1964 and moved to Cherokee Village. She was a member of the Spring River Presbyterian Church in Hardy, Ark.Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Truesdell of Hot Springs Village, and Donna and Bob McCollam of Blue Grass, Iowa; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant son; and one son-in-law, Al Truesdell.Services were Sunday, March 24, 2002, at the Spring River Presbyterian Church in Hardy with Mrs. Chapman's grandson, Pastor Dan Mc-Collam officiating. Burial was in the Oaklawn Cemetery at Highland with arrangements under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel Funeral Services, Inc.Memorials can be made to the Spring River Presbyterian Church in Hardy.
