Bobby "Bob" Roy Holman, 67, son of the late Samuel T. "Snipe" Holman and Mildred Redburn Holman was born Jan. 3, 1935, in Alton, Mo., and died Friday, March 15, 2002, in Thayer, Mo. He was married Jan. 27, 1956, in Chicago, Ill., to Elsie Armstrong.He became a Christian and was baptized several years ago and was of the Baptist faith.He was a rural mail carrier for fifteen years and was an avid outdoors person, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, beekeeping, and gardening.Survivors include his wife, Elsie of the home near Thayer; four daughters, Vanessa Farkas and husband, Patrick of Rogersville, Mo., Missy Snyder and husband, Ernie of Seymour, Mo., Teresa Latham and husband, Larry of Alton, and Lesa Ehret and husband, Steve of Gulfport, Miss.; one brother, Larry Holman of Trumann, Ark.; two sisters, Shirley Boles of Kansas City, Mo. and Sue Russell of Kansas City, Mo.; six grandchildren, Jody Holman and wife, Natasha of Thayer, Mo., Brian Brashear of Seymour, Mo., Boyd Brashear of West Plains, Mo., Bobby Latham of Alton and Chelsea Ehert and Jon Ehert of Gulfport, Miss., several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; and one grandson, Jason Lee Holman.Services were Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Rev. Jerry Sisco officiating. Burial was in the Norman Cemetery at Thayer with arrangements under the direction of Carter Funeral Home Inc. of Thayer. Pallbearers were Tom Forschler, Boyd Brashear, Larry Lathan, Brian Brashear, Jody Holman, and Lorene Grooms.Honorary pallbearers were Steve Ehert, Ernie Snyder, and Patrick Farkas.
