Harrsie Johnson, age 73, of West Plains, Mo., formerly of Alton, Mo., was born May 16, 1929, near Pine, Mo., and passed away May 3, 2003, at the Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.
Survivors include his wife, Edna of the home; three daughters -- Mary Russell and husband, Terry, Barbara McGhee and Carolyn Jackson all of West Plains, Mo.; three sons -- Jimmy and wife, Drusilla, Billy Johnson and wife, Deanna, all of Alton, and Richard Johnson and wife, Annette of West Plains; 12 grandchildren -- Theresa Clarke and husband, James, Cathy Barrett and husband, Bobby, Crystal Justice and husband, Richard, Billie Johnson and friend, Richard Busby, Jeffrey Johnson and friend, Toni Ross, Larry Latham, Jerry Johnson and wife, Holly, Bobby Johnson, Lynsey Johnson, Alex Johnson, Clayton and Dayton Johnson; five great-grandchildren -- Cameron, Colby, Brooklyn, Shelly and Tyler; three brothers -- Waif Johnson and wife, Ora Mae, Gene Johnson and wife, Edith, and Marshall Johnson; a sister, Joyce Wallace and husband, Roy; special friends, Ronnie Provow, Barbara, Mark and Karen Hammond and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Bertha Ross-Johnson; a daughter, Brenda Johnson; a grandson, Brian McGhee; a sister, Mable Randall; and three brothers -- Wilse, William and Richard.
Services were May 6, at the Clary Chapel in Alton, Mo., with interment in the Smith Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Clary Funeral Home of Alton, Mo.
