WPAG holds the annual exhibit and competition at Heart of the Ozarks Fair each July with categories in many mediums in sub-divisions for children and adults. Following the fair, members carpool to the Springfield Art Museum and Watercolor USA, Michael's Hobby Lobby, National Art Shop, and Bass Pro Shop the last week of July. Painting out is held during fall foliage, and includes a picnic or potluck. In November there is a Thanksgiving dinner, and in December there is a Christmas dinner. The party includes gift exchange. Members will exhibit one painting per artist in the dining room at Ryan's.

The exhibit ends May 21 with an artist reception at 2 p.m. and paintings released at 3 p.m.
