Thelma Lois Ratcliff Waggoner Ashbrook, 79, of Melbourne, daughter of the late Jessie and Mae Johnson Ratcliff was born March 13, 1923, in Minden, La. She died Thursday, March 28, 2002, in Batesville. She was married to John Ashbrook on August 21, 1999, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church. During her working years she was a homemaker, mother and wife. She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband, John Ashbrook of the home; three sons, Tom Waggoner of Dallas, Texas, Dale Waggoner of North Little Rock, and Wayne Waggoner of Alexander, Ark.; one step-son, Don Ashbrook of Merced, Calif.; three step-daughters, Judy Ashbrook of California, Jeanie Clifton of Malvern, and Linda Miller of Alexander; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ozie Lafaye Waggoner, and one sister, Bessie Ashbrook.Services were Monday, April 1, 2002, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Elvis Sneathern officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.Pallbearers were James Crafton, Rusty Tate, Ron Pelletier, Billy Cowan, Shannon Smith, and Sean Easley.
