Charles Piper, 72, of Cherokee Village died March 6, 2005, in the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark.
Born Aug. 15, 1932, in Altamont, Ill., he was the son of Bertha Frost Piper and Charles W. Piper. He was married to Nancy Piper. He served in the Air Force from June 19, 1951, to June 18, 1955 and was employed as an engineer.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Piper; a son, Keith Piper of St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters, Deborah Tesch of Rapid City, SD, and Carol DeSimone of Breese, Ill.; a sister, Joan Hamrick of Jasper, Ind., and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. and Bertha Piper.
The funeral service was held March 20 at the Cherokee Village Lutheran Church with the Rev. Joan Ewaldsen officiating.
Burial was in Cherokee Village Lutheran Columbarium.
