A search and seizure of a residence in Izard County led by the 16th Judicial Drug Task Force produced more than 2 pounds of suspected marijuana, items of drug paraphernalia and a large amount of United States currency.
Officers from the Izard County Sheriff's Department, Arkansas Department of Community Punishment and investigators from the drug task force traveled to the Luke Teague residence near Calico Rock.
Sixteenth Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Don McSpadden is expected to file charges in Izard County Circuit Court against Teague, 48, and Matthew Teague, 18, of Pineville for possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent to use. In addition, the state of Arkansas will seek forfeiture of the currency found. Bonds have not been set at this time.
Izard County Sheriff Joe Martz said his department is continuing to work with the drug task force and other agencies to fight the war on drugs in Izard County.
