Koontz, Sisco unite in marriage
Jana Kay Koontz and Clifford A. Sisco III were united in marriage March 26 in front of the St. Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square Park in New Orleans, La. The Rev. Anthony Telavera officiated at the double ring ceremony.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Roger Koontz of Couch, and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford A. Sisco II of Alton.An a cappella singer was provided and a jazz band played New Orleans-style music in the background.The bride was escorted by her father from a fountain in Jackson Square Park down to the gates where she met the groom and wedding party. She wore a satin floor-length gown accented with a pearl necklace. She carried a bouquet of Gerber daisies.Jana's mother, Janice Koontz, and Clifford's father, Cliff Sisco, served as witnesses to the marriage. After the ceremony, the couple took a carriage ride touring the French Quarter and other scenic areas of New Orleans.A dinner was held afterwards for the couple at The Belle Forche', a Creole restaurant in New Orleans.The bride, a 1998 graduate of Alton High School and a 2001 graduate of Southwest Missouri State University, is employed by The Besthesda Corporation in Springfield, Mo.The groom, a 1997 graduate of Alton High School, is currently working on his nursing degree and is employed at Ozark Residential Care Facility in Ozark.A reception to honor the couple will be May 25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the home of the bride's parents at Norfork Lake in Gamaliel. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
