Laura Bell Collins Marshall, age 78, of Ravenden, Ark., died June 11, 2005, at her home. She was born June 20, 1926, near Wirth to Luther and Lydia Ritenour Collins. She was retired from Brown Shoe Company in Pocahontas and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include one son, Rex Marshall of Ravenden; four brothers -- Arthur Collins of Decatur, Ill.; Gale Collins of Sidney, David Collins of Ravenden, and Walter Collins of Warrenton, Mo.; one sister, Rosa Fay Collins of Sidney; six grandchildren -- Nathan Marshall and Jason Marshall, both of Jonesboro, Jordan Marshall of Ravenden, Luther Collins, Steven Collins and Lydia Michelle Laringer, all of Savanna, Ga.; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Edward "Buster" Marshall; one son, Charles Ray Collins; two brothers -- Ira Collins and Lloyd Collins; one sister, Cora Lee Jones and a grandson, Kevin Collins.
The funeral service was June 14 at Ravenden Baptist Church with Bro. Pat Hovis and Bro. Linney Finney officiating. Burial followed in the Collins Cemetery near Wirth, with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City, Ark.
Pallbearers were Nathan Marshall, Jason Marshall, Jordan Marshall, Robert Collins, Steven Collins, Allen Collins, Gary Grissom, Ed Vanwinkle, Randy Guthrie and Mack Ellis.
