Wayne R. Wing, 86, of Cherokee Village, was born Sept. 2, 1915 to Harry S. and Eliza Vradenburg Wing in Pardeeville, Wis. He died May 30, 2002 at the Ash Flat Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ash Flat.Wing was employed in sales for the Oscar Mayer Co. and retired after more than 37 years of service. He moved to Cherokee Village in August of 2001. He was a member of the Endeavor United Church of Christ. He belonged to the Packweaukee, Wis. Lions Club and was a member. He also was a Melvin Jones Award recipient of the Waterford Lions Club. He was married to Lois Eleanor Horn on March 21, 1936 in Galena, Ill.Survivors are two sons, Russell (Rosmarie) Wing of Cherokee Village and Larry (Ellen) Wing of Lindenhurst, Ill.; five grandchildren, Steven (Merry Jo) Wing of Columbia, S.C., Kevin Wing of Pasadena, Calif., Gregory (Linda) Wing of Warren, Mo., David (Kendra) Wing of Bolingbrook, Ill., Debbie (fiance', Chris Tiedman) Wing of Chicago, Ill.; eight great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Wing of Packwaukee, Wis.; numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and two brothers, Gordon Wing and Gerald Wing.Services were June 6, 2002, in Steinhaus-Leikness and Stahl Funeral Home in Montello, Wis., with Rev. Jeffrey L. Nicholas officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Kingston, Green Lake County, Wis. Arrangements made by Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland, Ark.
