Edna Teresa Burns VanWinkle, 96, daughter of the late George and Jennie Burns, was born on Oct. 29, 1908, at Arma, Kan. She married Albert E. Harmon and later Charlie VanWinkle. She was the mother of three children. She died Dec. 30, 2004, in Calico Rock, Ark. She spent her life as a wife, mother, a homemaker and a housekeeper. She was of the Catholic faith.
She leaves to mourn her passing a daughter and son-in-law -- Sharon and Jessie Crider of Oxford; a son and daughterin-law -- Jack and Mary Harmon of Snyder, Okla.; four sisters -- Mary Elizabeth Burns and Gertrude VanBecelaere, of Pittsburg, Kan., Frances Predo of Arma, Kan., Ann Ecclie of Carbon, Utah; two brothers -- Bob Burns and George Burns of Arma, Kan., eleven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Kenneth Harmon; three sisters; two brothers; and two great-granddaughters -- Jimmie Michelle Crider and Misty Diane Vanostrand.
A graveside service and burial was Jan. 2 at Owens Cemetery with Father Jim Finrock officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Jim Crider, J.D. Crider, Charles Crider, Jimmy Burris and Kenneth Crider.
