Paul E. Boren Sr., 52, of Hillsboro, Mo., died March 24, 2004, in Hillsboro, Mo. Born Dec. 9, 1951, in St. Louis, Mo., he was the son of Gene and Peggy Roam Boren, of Thayer, Mo.
He was married Dec. 17, 1988 in Hillsboro to Linda Kay Helbig Boren.
He owned and operated Pro-Stop BP in De Soto and Helbig Insurance Agency. He was an adult volunteer for Girl Scouts of America and the Hillsboro Little League and also served on the board of directors for Meremac Valley Ins. Co.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Kay of Hillsboro; three sons -- Paul (Tammy) Boren Jr. of Ballwin, Ill., Jeff (Tracy) Boren of Fenton, Mo. and Daniel Hunning of Hillsboro; three daughters -- Stacie Boren of Mehlville, Mo., Stephanie (Jason) Brandle of Hillsboro and Michelle (Dave) Majavec, of Hillsboro; his parents, Gene and Peggy Boren of Thayer; his grandparents -- Eugene and May Boren of Alton; his father-in-law and mother-in-law -- Walter and Dorothy Helbig of Hillsboro; and five grandchildren.
The funeral service was held March 28 at Dietrich-Mothershead Chapel with Brad Pettis and Ben Shropshire officiating.
Burial was in Rowe Cemetery at De Soto, Mo., with arrangements under the direction of Deitrich-Mothershead Funeral Home of De Soto, Mo.
