Football Fan Day set at Mizzou

Thursday, August 11, 2005

The University of Missouri football team will hold its third annual Fan Day on Aug. 14 from 4-5:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium/Faurot Field in Columbia. Admission to this annual event is free and gates will open at 4 p.m.

Tiger fans will have an opportunity to meet Mizzou's players and coaches and get autographs (fans may bring only two outside items for signing) and pictures with their favorite players.

There will be free Coca-Cola and black and gold balloons available for those in attendance, along with free posters and schedule cards.

Truman the Tiger, the Golden Girls and the MU Cheer squad will also be on hand for the event. Plenty of sale merchandise will be available at the Tiger Team Store (located on the North Concourse), including brand new 2005 merchandise.

Fans will have the opportunity to walk on the field and to purchase tickets to the upcoming set of home games, which begin on Sept. 10 against New Mexico at 6 p.m.

For more information on Fan Day or on Tiger football, call Andrew Grinch in the Mizzou Marketing Office at 573-884-1528 or log on to www.mutigers.com.
