William Lawrence Aubry, 88, of Cherokee Village, Ark., died March 4, 2005, in St. Vincent's in Little Rock, Ark.
He was born in Moline, Ill., the son of William J. and Mary Ellen McKinney Aubry. He married Mary Virginia Lee on Sept. 26, 1940, in Moline, Ill.
He worked for International Harvester in Moline as an IBM Programmer until retiring 28 years ago and moving to Cherokee Village. He was a Grand Knight 4th Degree in the Knights of Columbus, a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, and enjoyed golfing and church work.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Virginia Aubry; two sons -- William Lawrence Aubry Jr., and Evan J. Aubry, both of Cherokee Village; a daughter, Nance Aubry of Cherokee Village; a sister, Sister Kathleen Aubry of Rock Island, Ill.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, a sister and a grandson.
A memorial Mass was March 16 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cherokee Village with arrangements under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cherokee Village.
