Treva Sexton Taylor, 80, of Salem, Ark., daughter of William Boyce Cochran and Ruby Alice Battle Cochran, was born Sept. 12, 1924 in Byron, Ark.
She died April 16, 2005, at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, Calif.
She married Hayden Sexton in 1946. To this union a daughter was born. In the year, 2000, she married Lowell Taylor. She was a registered nurse, employed by Dr. Carl Arnold and later by Fulton County Hospital for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was baptized in 1946.
Survivors include her husband, Lowell of Wasco, Calif.; a daughter, Celeste Sexton of Salem; a sister, Betty Price of Salem; a brother, Charles (Georgia) Cochran of Salem; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Whorton Cochran, and her father and mother.
The funeral was April 21 at Cox-Blevins Chapel in Salem. Burial was in the Byron Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem, Ark.
