The first ever Ash Flat Fire Department Benefit Bass Tournament is slated for May 22 on Crown Lake in Horseshoe Bend. The cost to enter is $60 per boat. Contestants must register at the Box Hound Marina at 6 a.m. Contestants will depart from Box Hound Marina at 7 a.m., with weigh-in at 3 p.m.
Half of the entry fee collected will go to the Ash Flat Fire Department, with the remainder used for prizes and divided as follows: first place wins half of prize money collected; second place wins 30 percent of prize money collected; third place wins 20 percent of prize money collected. Biggest bass wins $100. Additional prizes and sponsors will be listed and announced the day of the tournament.
