ALTON -- An Alton man was transported to state prison Dec. 8 by officers from the Oregon County Sheriff's Department.
Lloyd A. Miller, 26, of Alton was taken to prison at Bonne Terre after his parole was revoked and he was ordered to prison by his parole officer.
He was originally charged with possession of an illegal weapon, a short barrel shotgun, in June of 1999 and given a two-year suspended sentence that was revoked Oct. 17. Miller went to prison and served 30 months.
He violated his parole Dec. 2 he was charged and found guilty of possession of marijuana in Oregon County Circuit Court by Judge Jo Beth Prewitt.
